Benjamin is a proud Pennsylvanian with a passion for policy. After studying international economics and journalism, Benjamin wound up in Denmark on a Fulbright research grant. He worked in financial risk management, recently got an MBA, and became an advocate for immigration policy reforms in Denmark. This spurred the idea for Clause Out. Beyond his love of wordplay, Benjamin spends his free time playing bridge, doing yoga, and throwing dinner parties for his friends.
Out of Austin, TX, Matt is a political moderate with a passion for technology. His industry experience includes GM (mobile developer, data engineer at Ultracruise) and Amazon (fulfillment technology). He is also a proponent and large consumer of Open source software. He was a Division I wrestler (Stanford '16) and his hobbies include shuffle dancing, longboarding, and installing custom operating systems from instructions. Matt writes code every day and has always dreamed of building a self-sufficient team of motivated software developers to solve a wicked world problem.
Sara, based in Singapore, has creative expertise that spans from UI/UX to marketing. Before joining the team, she founded a successful art education business and enjoyed a decade-long career teaching in public schools. Combining her passion for education with her design prowess, Sarah was inspired to embark on her journey with Clause Out. She aims to make complex political concepts more accessible and engaging to a broader audience. Beyond her professional pursuits, Sara is fascinated by arts and culture.
Based in New York City, Dan has his creative fingerprints all over Clause Out’s app and social media. He’s been an avid follower of politics ever since he won a high school Model UN competition (while in character as a supervillain). Before joining Clause Out, Dan worked as a writer and producer with credits in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, The National Memo, and the History Channel. He is also a veteran stand-up comic and a competitive runner.
Based in Detroit, Victor brings a unique blend of skills to drive product development, marketing, and customer acquisition at Clause Out. While working as a software engineer in Japan, Victor was inspired to help engineer a better political system after witnessing the 2016 U.S. election from afar. Since then, he has been actively involved in politics while working on campaigns, serving as a poll worker, and founding a non-profit community organization. At Clause Out, Victor is developing innovative solutions to empower individuals and organizations to navigate the political landscape, driven by his commitment to creating a more transparent and inclusive system.
When it comes to designing Clause Out’s features and visual identity, Aleksander is all about valuing the user experience. He has partnered with a wide variety of clients, ranging from local art dealers to the Danish Energy Agency. Politically, he has been active in student unions, and he cares deeply about human rights, immigration, and culture. Aleksander lives in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has had the same interests since he was 8 years old: comic books, video games, and LEGO.
Bart joined Clause Out while earning his graduate degree in Strategic Design at the Royal Danish Academy and Copenhagen Business School. With previous work experience in academics, consulting, and finance, Bart handles business development, investments, and customer relations at Clause Out – plus a sprinkle of graphic design. He is a big believer in democratic ideals and is passionate about policy related to diversity, education, and sustainability. Outside of work, Bart enjoys exploring Copenhagen through running and coffee adventures.
Passionate about driving democratic participation, Anusha spearheads strategic partnerships to enhance the impact and reach of Clause Out. She has worked with various organizations and universities in accelerator space, advancing sustainability goals for a positive impact. Having lived in six different cities, she now enjoys life in Copenhagen with her family.
Without people, there’s no organization. Emil (he/him and e/em) joined Clause Out to try eir best in making sure that everyone on the team can do the work they can proudly stand by, and to help the team navigate the social impact of our work. He’s a systems thinker with a background in linguistics, DEI, and organizational psychology, from where he weaves his overly complex tapestries about team, product, and impact.... with a dash of decolonial design thinking e’s been immersing emself into more and more lately. He’s anchored in Copenhagen, Denmark with his partner and two gremlin cats. E loves spinach, reading, D&D, drawing comics, and playing violin in the local amateur orchestra.
Roman is an expert in getting products from idea to scale. Having started several companies and worked with companies from inception to Series A, he brings deep insight into running and growing product and tech organization in a dynamic environment.
Based in Madrid, Martin is a powerhouse in scaling the Clause Out community. He thrives on challenging the status quo and has a deep passion for decision-making processes. His guiding principle, "to promote peace through understanding" was discovered in collaboration with Rotary International. With a background in enhancing decision-making for Nordic boards of publicly listed companies, Martin is always on a quest to explore the complexities of the world and loves engaging in thought-provoking coffee chats.
Based in Copenhagen, Janina guides Clause Out on GTM, ICP segmentation, and building their B2B SaaS. With over a decade of experience in creating digital products for both B2C and B2B markets, Janina excels in taking startups from 0-1 product innovation to scaling up. She is passionate about food, coffee, yoga and enjoys relaxing in the sauna.
